We specialise in offering personal protection & self defence training workshops to businesses and employees across all sectors. The curriculum covers everything from a self protection game plan, the colour codes of awareness, body language pre-conflict, profiling the criminal mindset, pre incident indicators of victim selection, protecting your personal space using ‘the fence’ technique to releases from wrist grabs, chokes, strangles etc.
Other workshops provided
‘KNOW FEAR’ Acknowledge your fears, accept them, then learn to control them. People go through life never fulfilling their potential because they allow their fears act as an anchor instead of an ally. This workshop explains the physiological effects of adrenalin on your body, the ‘fight or flight’ response, why it’s ok to be scared, trusting your intuition and how to use fear to your advantage.
‘EGO ERASER’ What is ego? Do you always have to win? Do you always have to have the last word in every argument? Is it always your way or the highway? Albert Einstein once said ‘More the knowledge, lesser the ego, lesser the knowledge, more the ego’ What does this really mean? This workshop explains in detail how and why ego can serve as a buffer to progress. Why being a people pleaser will leave you burnt out in the end and how conflict resolution can only be achieved when the ego starts to diminish.

Aidan Carroll was contracted by Dublin Fire Brigade to provide training for our current Paramedic programme. The session was designed to meet the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council’s Education and Training Objectives. Aidan designed the programme which was delivered with both a theory and psychomotor component. The course fully met our requirements and it was delivered with professionalism and enthusiasm by Aidan and his team. We evaluate each of our programmes from a student and faculty viewpoint and the feedback from the student cohort and the course director was very positive. We would have no hesitation in recommending Aidan as a training provider; we will use his services for future Paramedic programmes.
Mr. Gerry Stanley, Third Officer, Dublin Fire Brigade.
I just wish to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the Self Defence lunch & learn session(s).The advice given by Mr. Carroll and his wife (Debbie) is invaluable and has altered my way of thinking and responding to any potential undesirable situation. The session(s) also highlighted how, both verbal and facial communication can affect the outcome of any situation, no matter where an individual is.
Thank you and hope to see them back in the future.
Dept. of Expenditure & Reform

A. Vaughan, Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
The self-defence classes we had on site were excellent and very well organised. All of those who took part enjoyed the classes and felt they learnt a lot of practical tips and techniques. I would highly recommend Hard Target.
