Online Street Smarts Self Protection Course
Due to the recent horrific murder of Sarah Everard, we have received a large amount of enquiries from members of the public who are naturally worried about their personal safety.
What makes this case in particular so unsettling is because the suspect arrested is a serving member of the police force. Many questions, protests and debates are ubiquitous trying to make sense of such a heinous crime. We are hearing suggestions of curfews for men, training men to respect women and boundaries and the caseation of victim blaming.
As a man, husband and father, I understand the emotions driving this narrative. However, as a self-protection specialist, this way of thinking only leaves us more vulnerable (in the immediate sense).
While searching for solutions for long term (albeit) legitimate issues, we are leaving ourselves vulnerable in the interim. The perpetual deliberation of nature versus nurture will do nothing to protect the victim.
Do I welcome change? Yes.
Will this change happen overnight? No.
The fact remains that predators have and always will exist.
The bedrock of our teaching is to educate, dispel myths, ignore statistics, recognise and understand the behaviours, body language, verbal and non-verbal signals of predatory behaviours.

- When and why it’s OK not to be nice
- How to recognise a wolf in sheep’s clothing
- The connection between people pleasing and victim selection
- How to create a Self-Protection game-plan
- Legalities and the force continuum
This course will take place on Zoom and is suitable for everyone.
